BIM/GIS Integration for Engineering Projects
The engineering projects at IRAM are meticulously studied using Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Geographic Information System (GIS) integration. This approach begins with the design phase and continues throughout the Developed process. It involves creating three-dimensional models and designs, such as LOD100, LOD200, LOD300, and LOD400, for all disciplines, and ultimately extracting two-dimensional drawings. The company also evaluates and updates architectural designs, structural, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems using BIM. Additionally, 4D/5D models are created, and the related 3D project schedule is extracted. The integration of BIM and GIS allows for the combination of 3D BIM models with location intelligence from GIS, enabling teams to review BIM models, documents, and issues in a geographic context
